

Emily Rae Bamberg England, born on July 26, 1933 in Heiberger, Alabama, age 92 died on December 15, 2025 at Southland Nursing Home in Marion, Alabama where she had been cared for by such wonderful caregivers for 3 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gordon "Bill" England, who she was married to for 51 years; parents, Percy Hamilton and Eula Mae Bamberg; brothers, Gerald Bamberg, Cecil Bamberg, and Alton Bamberg; brother-in-law, Sam Rogers.
She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Rogers and Betty (Joe) Horn; sister-in-law, Lillian England Acton; children, Diane (Morris) Carroll, Cindy (John) Horne, Bob (Amy) England, Sharon (Monte) Owen, and Flora Ann (Jim) Morris; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She loved her time working at Southern Academy and saw the staff as well as the children as an extension of family. She was an active member at Siloam Baptist church in Marion, Alabama and was a representative of the Cahaba Association at the Alabama State Board of Missions. She will affectionately be remembered as a wonderful mother, Memaw, Aunt Emily, and friend. Her legacy is one of caring for those she loved and welcoming anyone who showed up at her door. Her children have reaped the benefit of those relationships and appreciate all the kind words, prayers, and love.
A visitation for Emily will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Siloam Baptist Church from 1pm to 2pm with services following at 2pm. Burial will be at Marion City Cemetery.
