Eula Lee Darden

Eula Lee Darden, age 97, of Centreville, Alabama entered into rest on Friday April 24, 2020. Eula was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Barry Darden(Patsey); grandson, James Darden(Ester); brother, Joe Horne(Edna); many nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Darden and her parents, Charlie and Eula Massey Tucker.

She and Wilson were married 52 years before he passed in 1995. Barry was the light of her life and she worried about him until the day she died. Jimi was her playmate when he was a child and always the apple of her eye. Eula was always a loving and generous mother in law to Pat. She cherished her friends, especially the shopping friends. She could spend hours just looking and never buy a thing. Eula loved her home and garden. She was still cutting her own grass as she entered her early 90's. Her claim to fame was her love for and dedication to walking. Late in her life she started walking 5 miles everyday and continued until around 90 years old when she felt she needed to slow down to only 3 miles a day. But most of all she loved her Lord and was a willing servant in his work here on earth.

Due to the health issues in our country, a private graveside serves for the immediate family will be held Monday, April 27, 2020 at 2 PM. It will be live streamed on RockcoFuneralHomeCentreville-Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Brent Baptist Church or your favorite charity.

The family would like to thank the staff of Bibb Medical Nursing Home for the wonderful care and love they have shone her in her last years. We are grateful for the kind, compassionate care given by the staff of Bibb Medical Center and Amedisys Hospice during her last days.
