Hubert "Rip" Merle Cook Jr., age 66, of West Blocton, Alabama passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Merle Jr. was known to all as "Rip". Rip was born to Hubert Merle Cook, Sr. and Margaret E. Hicks Cook on October 20, 1956. He loved life with family and close friends. Rip has a heart of gold and was precious to all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret E. Cook; his father, Merle Cook, Sr.; and aunt, Mary Erwin. He is survived by his cousins, Gena Latham, Debra Ragland and Gary Erwin.
Details of a memorial service will be announced at a later date. His final resting place will be at McCulley Cemetery in West Blocton, Alabama.
Rip will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
