J W Simmons, age 90, of Brent, Alabama passed away on Friday June 12, 2020. JW was born May 5, 1930. He is survived by his sons, Joe Simmons(Debra), Freddie Simmons(Betty) and Gary Simmons(Sara); daughters, Sharon Steele, Kris Simmons and Penny Biles(Jonathan); daughter in law, Jeanine Simmons; brother, Roy Simmons; 23 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys M. Simmons; son, Ricky Simmons; daughter, Cindy Towe; his parents, Warren and Frances Simmons; brothers, R C Simmons, R V Simmons, L C Simmons, John "Slick" Simmons and Troy Simmons; sister, Mattie Bell Sewell and son in law, Bob Towe.
Visitation for JW will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, Centreville, AL. Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Burial will follow at Centreville Memorial Cemetery in Centreville, AL.
