Lane was born on March 6, 1925 in Coleanor, AL. On November 5, 1946, she married Edward L. Patridge and raised their family in Brent, AL. They were dedicated members of the Brent and Centreville Presbyterian Churches. Lane has lived a devoted Christian life that included serving God as Sunday School teacher, Cub Scout Den Mother, PTA member and leader at Brent Grammar School and Perry Christian School, choir member at both churches, part time employee at Brent Banking Company and Patridge Insurance Company, a full-time mother and devoted, supportive wife of Ed Patridge for 66 years.
Lane was a full time Proverbs 31 woman who served as a volunteer home missionary, living her last years at the Congregate Housing in Centreville, AL. There she loved, served, helped, encouraged and cared for all that were in her path each day. Lane was known for her high energy, her wit, her Christian example, her sharp mind, her savvy technology ability and her love for her friends and family. Lane was know to her grandchildren as an "Angel in disguise". At 92 years of age, she was jet skiing and fishing with her cherished grandchildren. This God-fearing woman was active and busy with excitement in her life until the day she went to her eternal home. She was ready to meet her Lord, husband, family and friends. Lane, a loving servant of God, will be greatly missed. Now, "She is clothed with strength and dignity. She can laugh at the days to come", Proverbs 31:25. We praise the Lord for a life well lived.
The family of Lane Patridge, with deep appreciation, would like to that the Residents of Congregate Housing at Cahaba Trace, the Adult Sunday School class of Centreville Presbyterian Church, Hospice of West Alabama, her caregivers: Lisa Cochran, Tasha Coleman, Cynthia Winegard, Melinda Kish and Wand Holder for all the love and care they provided.
