Margaret Aline Fisher

July 20, 1938 - July 29, 2024

Margaret Aline Fisher, 86, of Marion, AL, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024. Born on July 20, 1938, in Greensboro, AL, she was the beloved daughter of the late Earnest and Mamie Clements.

Margaret was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years, Robert Troy Fisher; her brother, Woodfin Clements; her sister-in-law, Irma Tumlin, and her grandson, Robert Thomas Fisher Jr.

She leaves behind a loving family including her children, Joe Ann Barton (Larry), Robert Fisher (Kelly), and Ronnie Fisher (Wanda). She is also survived by her dear sisters, Agnes Hughes (John Allen) and Jeanette Averette (Robert), and her brother-in-law, James Fisher (Faye). She also leaves behind a legacy of 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Margaret's life was a testament to love, faith, and family. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nanny.

Pallbearers for the service are Eric Fisher, Jason Swain, William Fourt, Matthew St. John, Dakota Fisher, Xander Swain, Cole Swain, Hayden Fisher, and Jace Fisher. Honorary pallbearers include Freiley Cox, Jared Cox, and Matthew Guy.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at Spring Hill Church on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to honor her memory by wearing her favorite color, purple, or other bright, happy colors. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, prior to the service.
