Marie Simmons, age 74, of Lawley entered into rest at Shelby Baptist on October 26, 2017. F She is survived by her sons, Tommy Simmons of Lawley and Tony Simmons(Janet) of Brent; daughters, Tina Simmons of Lake View and Tammy Letson(John) of Lawley; brother, Percy Chandler(Ann) of Centreville; sisters, Linda Stroud of Decatur, Susan Burge(Ted) of Greensboro, Betty Carroll of Clanton, Bonnie Davidson(Ronald) of Decatur, Lisa Clark of Ardmore and Brenda Daniels(Alex) of Selma. 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John “Slick” Simmons; son, Timmy Bruce Simmons; parents, Melvin Bruce Blue and Minnie Dorn.
