Betty Evans Marinello

Betty Evans Marinello was called home to the loving arms of Jesus on January 30, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born in New Orleans on November 23, 1933 to Lloyd Evans and Laura Calico Evans and was a resident of Arabi, LA for 64 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband B.J. Marinello and her only sibling Lorraine "Cookie" Evans. Loving mother of Toni Ann Marinello Jarman (Anthony), Laurie Marinello Wright, Dena Marinello Sanchez (Bobby). Grandmother of Vincent Jarman (Megan), Angela Jarman Garcia (Joshua) and Andrew Jarman. Step-Grandmother to Christian and Caitlin Wright. She is also survived by her beloved great-grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known as "Ganny": Preslie, Jovahn, Josiah, Lydia and Jonathan Garcia and Alistair Jarman. She will be dearly missed by Mickey Strain and Romayne Petit.

Betty enjoyed a long career as a secretary with Tharp-Sontheimer Laudumiey Funeral Home in New Orleans. Her happiest times were spent with family. She enjoyed her days with friends at St. Bernard Council on Aging. One of her greatest pleasures was going out to eat. She had fried shrimp at just about every restaurant in the greater New Orleans area. Her love of eating out was surpassed only by the love for her family. Her girls were her life and her Grands and Great-grands were her heart. She was well loved and we will miss her every day.
