

Beverly Jennewine Loze, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, surrounded by her family. Beverly, 79, was born on December 15, 1944, in Newburgh, New York to the late Charles and Grace Jennewine. Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl Loze. Beverly is survived by her children: Leslie Gowland Algero (Mike), Lydia Gowland DuSaules (Mark), Michelle Gowland Bryan, April Loze and Allen Loze; her grandchildren: Megan Purvis (Will), Ashley Doyle (Bret), Christopher DuSaules (Tiffany), Melanie Hickman (Andrew), Michael Algero Jr. (Marley), Amy Borne (Wes), Meredith Hineline (Frank), Michaela Bryan, Matthew Algero, Grace Bryan, Caitlyn Loze, Erica Loze, Aaron Loze and Steven Williams Jr.; and her great-grandchildren: Austin Asher, James Purvis, Madilyn Hickman, Reid DuSaules, Jacey Hickman, Camryn Doyle, Brooks Borne, Liam Purvis, Michael Algero III, Dani Hickman, Eloise Algero, Briggs Borne, Abigail Hineline, Brax Borne, Dylan Barber and one great grandsons on the way; her siblings: Robert Jennewine (Laurie), Linda Sciortino, Charlene April (Bobby) and Marilynn Merkl (Chris); her sister- in-law Sylvia White. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart. Beverly joins the heavenly presence of so many loved ones, including her daughter, Debra Loze Williams, her sister Judy Soulier, her brother-in-law Michael Sciortino Sr., and her niece Angelena Ortego.
A true New Orleans spirit, Beverly was known for her vibrant personality, her love of Mardi Gras parades, and her dedication to family. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Violet, LA. For many years, she was a proud member of the Daughter of Eve, she rode the float faithfully in the parades. She reveled in the joy of the season, always greeting the crowds with a smile and a wave, embodying the spirit of celebration and community that defines New Orleans. Known as the "Red Bean Lady," her red beans were a family treasure. Her grandchildren adored them, and it was said that they would only eat her red beans, no matter where they were or who else was cooking. Outside of family and food, she enjoyed her time at the casino, where she could often be found testing her luck with a smile on her face. Whether winning or losing, her joy came from the experience, and she never failed to share her excitement with those around her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, November 16th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to eternal rest with her beloved husband Earl in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
