

Clovena Mary Dirmann passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the age of 88. Beloved daughter of the late Henry Sr. and Clovena Ferrand Dirmann. Loving sister of the late Henry I Dirmann, Jr. Proud aunt of Rachel Dirmann (Eden William Eden) and Eric Dirmann. Great aunt of Lillian Grace Eden and
Evan Dirmann. Godmother of Mitch Perkins (Carol) and Karl “Binky” Burke Jr. (Gina). Cousin of Manuella and Gloria Bornio. Also survived and lovingly remembered by many honorary nieces, nephews, other cousins, relatives and dear friends.
Clovena was a long time resident of New Orleans before relocating to St Bernard Parish in the early 1970’s, and graduated from Holy Angels Academy. She received a voice scholarship to LSU but decided to start her career at the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board where she enjoyed a successful career that spanned decades. She enjoyed a long and active life with many interests, including world travel, LSU football and baseball, riding with various Mardi Gras crews, and spending time with family and friends. She was a proud LSU football season ticket holder for over 50 years and until recently held the role of President and Treasurer of last remaining chartered bus club for fans to travel to LSU home football games. She was a devoted Catholic who used her beautiful voice to sing in the St. Louis Cathedral choir. Clovena was dearly loved and will forever be remembered as a loving sister, daughter, aunt, great-aunt, godmother and friend to so many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 9:30AM – 11:00AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
