Colette Stephany Scardino

Colette Stephany Scardino, age 75 years, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at her home in Chalmette, LA. Beloved wife of the late Salvadore Anthony Scardino. Daughter of the late Atwood J. Stephany, Sr. and Colette Pareti Stephany. Sister of Brenda A. Stephany and Atwood J. Stephany, Jr. Aunt and Godmother of Jennifer Stephany Perez. Great aunt of Brandon M. Stephany and Valerie L. Perez. She was preceded in death and survived by many feline children she’s loved throughout her life. Colette was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls, Class of 1959 and Tulane University. She was a former employee of St. John the Baptist Parish (Secretary to the late Judge Tom Malik and former Director of Juvenile Counseling) and the St. Bernard Parish Clerk of Court’s Office under Mrs. Lena Torres. She was a devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church in Chalmette. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 3300 Jupiter Dr., Chalmette, LA at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
