David Michael Brubaker

David "Dave" Brubaker, 72, passed away on June 4, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years Vicki Brubaker, son Victor Brubaker (Valerie), his siblings, Judith Leroux (Ray), Cynthia Kraus (Jay), John Brubaker; in laws Joanna Vallery, Beryl Colombo, Odette Griffin (Ralph); Grandchildren, Bernadette, Charlotte, Theodore; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Imelda Brubaker; his siblings, Stephen Brubaker, Patrick Brubaker and Michael Brubaker and daughter Tammi Brubaker.

David was a graduate from Chalmette High School and attended Louisiana State University. He spent 28 years serving the St. Bernard Water Board. David enjoyed traveling, playing golf and bowling finding joy in these activities throughout his life. However, his greatest happiness came from the time spent with his grandchildren and family.

The family extends a heartfelt of gratitude to the staff of St. Anthony Community Care Center for their care and attention.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, June 20th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Memorial Mass in Dave’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
