It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dylan Michael Spadoni (Pickle), a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, who left us far too soon at the age of 23. He was a young man whose life was full of promise, joy, and love for those closest to him. His sudden departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. Dylan is survived by his parents, Melissa Teal (Heath) and Craig Spadoni Sr.; his siblings, Katlyn Spadoni and Craig Spadoni Jr.; his grandmother, Ina Spadoni; his aunts & uncles, Stacey (Alan), Amy (Troy), Teddy (Chantell) and Chris (Donna); his cousins, Ashley (Jace), Holden, Teddy IV, Leighton, Kylie, Grace, Allie, Hayden, Noah, Canden, Jhett and Archer; his best friends, Eric, Johnny and Oakley; his godchild, Addi. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore Teal Jr. and Cynthia Teal.
From the time he was 18 years old, Dylan dedicated himself to the life of a commercial fisherman, becoming a crabber alongside Captain Ryan Serigne and Captain Russell Nicosia III. The sea was his second home, and crabbing was more than just a job; it was a passion. His love for the ocean and the camaraderie of the men he worked with was evident in every moment he spent on the water. More than his work, Dylan cherished the friendships he made throughout his life. He had a special gift for nurturing true and lasting friendships, and he found his greatest joy in the bond he shared with his friends. Whether spending long days on the water or enjoying simple moments together, he treasured every connection he made. Above all else, Dylan adored his family. His love for his sister and brother knew no bounds. He was fiercely protective, caring, and supportive of them, and he always made time for them no matter where life took him. His heart was big, and his family was always at the center of it. Dylan’s memory will live on through the stories shared by his friends, the love he gave to his family, and the lessons he taught those who were lucky enough to know him. Though his time with us was short, the impact he made on the lives of others will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Dylan. You will be missed by all who loved you, and you will forever be in our hearts.
In honor of Dylan, the family would like to ask that we all wear something he loved: a simple yet classic look of polo shirts, jeans, and his favorite G-Nikes. Dylan's favorite color was blue, and as many of you know, he was fondly called "Pickle," which also ties into his love for the color green. So, in remembrance of him, we ask that you wear his favorite colors to celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. Let's come together in a way that honors his spirit and the simple things he loved.
All those whose lives Dylan has touched are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM.
