Florence Austin Perez passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the age of 90. She was the beloved wife of the late Milton J. Perez. Loving mother of Theresa E., Robert A., Milton J. (Christine), Lionel D. and the late Gary E. Perez. Proud grandmother of Brandon, Laura, David and Sherry. Great grandmother of Ethan, Grayson and Roy. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 6 siblings and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Florence Tell Austin, along with 5 siblings. Florence was native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was a 1941 graduate of L.E. Rabouin Memorial School. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, December 20th from 12:30PM – 2:00PM, followed by a celebration of her life beginning at 2:00PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
