Born in Sprott, Alabama on April 18, 1930, Gladys married Allie Leroy Crocker on May 12, 1952. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage and made a great team. Gladys was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was proud of her family, which included three children: Susan C. Lauga (married to Paul Lauga, Jr.), Steven L. Crocker (married to Cindy Elizabeth Fahey), and Shirley C. Hansford. She spoiled her four grandchildren: Paul Lauga, III, Samantha C. Stubbs (married to Adam Stubbs), Elaine Allie Lauga, and Joshua Michael Hansford (married to Chelsea Lanning Hansford). She is the great-grandmother of Gemma Rae Lanning, Jayden Nichole Hansford and Asher Leroy Stubbs. She is also survived and fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by us all.
Her family sends their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of St. Joseph’s Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Gladys’ memory to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 19500 Helenbird Road, Covington, LA 70433.
