

Jennielee Arabie Eagan Allain passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the age of 92. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some way throughout her very memorable life. She was preceded in death by her first husband Wilfred Joseph Eagan, her second husband Van Allain, her parents Clarence & Zula Arabie, her siblings Gladys Livaccari & Henry Arabie, and her grandchildren Devin Hill (Tonya) and Darcy Hill. She is survived by her loving daughters Elaine Eagan Olivier (Danny), Chris Eagan Hill (Jack) and Kathy Eagan Myers. Proud grandmother of Chad Olivier (Rose), Kelli Olivier Jeansonne (Andre), Colleen Olivier Lagarde (Brandon), Derek Hill (Hailey), Thomas Myers and William Myers. Great grandmother of Conrad, Cole, Christopher & Max Olivier, Logan, Brody & Brielle Jeansonne, Aubrey & Ainsley Lagarde, and Jourdan, Jaden, Abram & August Hill. She is also fondly remembered by her dear friends LaVerne Hernandez, Myrtle Munna, Verla Justi, Marilyn Rome, Rolando Garcia, Betty Tidrick and Lena Wallace along with many other cousins and relatives.
Jennielee was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish until hurricane Katrina. She resided for several years in Slidell, LA before returning to her daughter’s home in Chalmette, LA. She truly enjoyed life through her simple pleasures of traveling, her trips to the casinos, playing Canasta with her friends, eating pizza with her Loop Group and enjoying her companionship in many clubs which she participated, including the Home Demonstration Club and Suburban Women’s Club. She found pleasure in the details of everyday life and cared deeply for others, especially children. She will always be remembered for her dedication to her family, her loving spirit, her laughter, and spoiling the grandchildren. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by us all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, March 4th from 9:30AM – 11:30AM. A Funeral Mass will take place at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CHURCH, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA beginning at 12:00PM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
