Joan Hosch Babylon

Joan Hosch Babylon, age 89, of Carriere, MS, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Louis John Babylon, Sr.; her children, Louis (Cindy) Babylon, Jr., Gary (Joni) Babylon, and Joan (Michael) Lehmann; her grandchildren, Brittany Babylon, Michael Lehmann, Jr., Rachel (Jared) Vige, and Lindsey Murphy; her great grandchildren, Bracey Murphy, Michael Lehmann, III, Case Murphy, and Hudson Vige; her brothers, Chester Hosch, Cyril (Sue) Hosch, and Ralph (Sue) Hosch; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis August Hosch, Sr. and Clara Bell Hosch; her brothers, Louis Hosch, Jr. and Harold Hosch; her sister, Clarabell Hosch; and her grandson-in-law, Tyler Murphy.

Joan was a native of New Orleans, LA, a lifelong resident of Arabi, LA until Hurricane Katrina and a resident of Picayune, MS for the last 17 years. Joan was a member of St. Charles Borromeo

Catholic Church. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice for their genuine care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Friday, March 18, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held in her memory at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, in Joan’s memory.
