John Joseph Netto passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the age of 89. He was the cherished husband of Evelyn B. Cornu Netto for 31 years. Loving father of Cheryl L. Netto. Son of the late John William and Lulu Romer Netto. Uncle of Cindy Weiskopf and her husband Jean. Great uncle of Jason Weiskopf. Great great uncle of Justin Weiskopf. John was a United States Army Veteran and proudly served his county in World War II and Korean War. He retired from Gulf Engineering and St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office after many years of service. John was a lifetime member of the American legion. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service concluding with military honors will begin at 11:00 AM.
