John Andrew Waguespack passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the age of 84. He was the cherished husband of the late Vivien Mascaro Waguespack for 54 years. Loving father of Lauren Dauterive (Raymond), Jeanne Licausi (Andrew) and Johnny Waguespack (Sharie). Son of the late Andrew and May Bourgeois Waguespack. Brother of Alice Babin (Felix), Mildred Rizzo (the late Arthur), Adeline Evans and the late Paul Waguespack. Proud grandfather of Heidi Rauber (Donald), Drew Licausi, Demi Dauterive and Brandon Choina (Tanya). Great grandfather of Donald Rauber III, Matthew Choina and Anna Catherine Choina. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was a United States Naval Reserve Veteran and proudly served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of UA Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 60. John will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest with military honors in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
