June Orduna Jackson

June Orduna Jackson passed away peacefully in her home on January 10, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born in New Orleans, LA on December 12, 1937 and was a long-time resident of St. Bernard Parish. Loving wife to George V. Jackson Jr., for 67 wonderful years, where they created a lifetime of memories. June was the caring mother to George Jackson III, the late June Tregle (Mike Tregle), Pamela Jackson, Steven Jackson, Judy Jackson (Mike Ballard), David Jackson (Pamela L Jackson), Penny Nunez (Wade Nunez), her baby, Randy Jackson, and Soyana Jackson; grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother to many; sister to Albert Orduna Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hilda and Albert Orduna Sr.; and brother Louis Orduna.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, family, and friends. Aside from her family, she was also known as Mrs. June or Mama June to countless because of her years of dedication to St. Bernard Parish Public Schools as a bus driver. She will be deeply missed by us all but her memory will live forever in our hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2805 Bayou Road, St. Bernard, LA on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
