June Porcuna

June Reis Porcuna, a resident of Canton Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 2, 2024 at the age of 85. June was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish and moved following Katrina. She is survived by her five children Steven Porcuna (Susan), Althea Sutton (Shawn), Alejandro Porcuna III (Stacey), Teresa Billiot (Kevin) and Yolanda Levy; 12 Grandchildren Kyle Porcuna, Ashley Crowder, Sara Price, Ryan Sutton, Lauren Ali, Alejandro IV Porcuna, Amanda Porcuna, Brandon Billiot, Blake Billiot, Bethany Billiot, Ethan Levy and Julia Levy; and a host of great grandchildren.

June was born on June 6. 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her husband Alejandro Porcuna Jr.; her parents Phillip Reis and Bernadine Christoffer Reis; her sister Bernadine (Cissy) Fairchild; and her brothers Phillip Reis Jr., Milvin Reis Sr., and Michael Reis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM. A funeral mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
