Linda Veazey Perino

Linda V. Perino, age 90 years old, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 in Mandeville, LA. Beloved wife of the late Bernard Louis Wahden by first marriage and the late Roger P. Perino by second marriage. Mother of the late Dannie J. Wahden and Thomas L. Wahden. Daughter of the late Leonard Veazey and Alice White Veazey. Sister of Lena Donahue, Wilda Mayard, and the late Lynson Veazey, Vilda DeMary, and Lynn Veazey. Grandmother of Sherie Wahden Boudreaux (Greg), Matthew Wahden, and Heath Wahden (Katey). Great grandmother of Karley Hanzo, Avery Boudreaux, Margaret Wahden, Luke Wahden, Amelia Wahden, and Blair Wahden. Mother-in-law of Mary C. Wahden and Betty Herbert. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Perino was a native of Abbeville, LA, a former longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and a resident of Mandeville, LA since 2005. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Beau Provence especially J.M., Tammy, Devin, and Christine, and all other care partners, and also Heart of Hospice staff especially Rivers, Lisa, Suzette, and Rivas. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
