Mark Christopher Rusck

Mark Christopher Rusck passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 18, 2026 at the age of 64. He was the beloved husband of 39 years to Paige McShane Rusck. Loving father of Christopher Rusck (Nhi) and Nicole Warren (Garrett). Son of Gayetanna Compagno Rusck and the late Peter Rusck. Proud grandfather of Beau Rusck and Drew Rusck. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Pete Rusck and his sister Shannon Rusck.

Mark was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He later made his home in Metairie, where he built a life around hard work, his family, and finding quiet joy. He devoted many years to a successful career as an accountant in the shipbuilding industry, through his dedication, reliability, and steady skill.

Outside of work, Mark found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending weekends on the golf course, cheering passionately for the Saints and LSU football, and sharing laughter with the people he loved most. But above all else, Mark’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his family especially his grandchildren. The love he had for them was unmistakable.

Though he will be deeply missed, his strength and the love he gave so freely will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00AM. Interment will be private.
