Mark Westcott

Mark Westcott passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the age of 59. He was the beloved husband of 12 wonderful years to Karen Buras Westcott. Loving father of Brandy Garcia, Lacey Meier and Madison Westcott. Devoted step-father of Natalie Fernandez, Claire Fernandez and Emily Fernandez. Son of the late Christian and Cecelia Gonlag Westcott. Brother of Christian Westcott Jr., Wayne Westcott, Marylynn Cisco and the late David Westcott. Proud grandfather of Bailey Garcia, Evan Garcia and a granddaughter and grandson on the way. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Mark was born in New Orleans and spent most of his life in St. Bernard Parish where enjoyed dancing, camping and working with his cattle. He was a member of the Cattlemen’s Association and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church. He was a devout Catholic, dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather who treasured time spent with his family and friends. He was well loved and affectionately known for his good nature, generous heart and witty personality. He was one of those people who always put a smile on your face. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CHURCH, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Friday, June 19th from 11:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Memorial Mass beginning at 12:00PM.
