Stephen J. Romare Jr.

Stephen Joseph Romare Jr. (Creamy) age 24, a resident of Chalmette, departed his physical life, and began his spiritual journey on March 5, 2016. Stephen leaves behind his parents Stephen Romare Sr (Tammy Castro) and Marla Ponson Romare (Glenn Gussoni). Paternal grandmother Carolyn Maxey Romare. Maternal grandparents Jack and Bonnie Ponson. Aunts Stephanie DeHoog (Derek), Sheree Romare, Wendy Ponson, Carol Barnes. Godfather Charles Maxey, and Godmother Sydney Romare (Ivan Scallan). Cousins Jacquelynn Wynn, Daniel Ponson Jr, Cole Barnes, Kelly Barnes, Aiyana Connell, Aurora Connell, Eleanor DeHoog, and Grant DeHoog. Preceded in death by his Paternal grandfather Sidney Romare and uncle Daniel Ponson Sr. Stephen will be sadly missed by all his many friends and extended family. The day Stephen came into this world, he made his presence known by his loud cries. He has left in the same manner by making his presence known and unforgettable with his fun, loving personality, his love of life and good times. The people he affected with his silly anecdotes and fun spirit, will forever be embedded with his memories. Stephen left his mark amongst his family and friends, and impacted each one in their own way. He will never be replaced. He will be truly missed by all who have known him, but his spirit will live on within each one of them, especially when we hear someone say “Calm Down.” Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Sunday, March 13th from 11:00AM 1:00PM, followed by a funeral service in Stephen’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
