

He graduated from Chalmette High School in 1999 and went on to attend Nunez Community College where he earned two associate’s degrees in Business Administration and in Process Technology (PTEC).
He worked as a roofer after high school and, after receiving his PTEC degree, he worked at Exxon Mobile and Chalmette Oil Refineries.
Stephen was actively involved in recreational sports as a child, and later he passed his passion down to his children and got them involved in recreational sports as well. He also liked music and taught himself to play the guitar and had an artistic side with a keen love of drawing.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley and Frederick Schule Sr. and Alma and Albert Barrau.
He is survived by his parents, Frederick Schule Jr. and Sandra Rushing Schule; his siblings, Frederick Schule III, Scott Schule (Alex), and Jason Schule (Erica); his children, Tyler Schule and Morgan Schule (Nick); and his grandchildren, Arabella, Thomas, Delilah, and Autumn. He is also survived by his former fiancée who remained a close friend, Leila Robinson, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at University Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed Stephen in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St, Chalmette, LA 70043 on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Memorial Funeral Service will follow.
