Calvin B Cook

Calvin Benjamin (Ben) Cook, 88, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Tuesday December 8, 2020 at his home with his loving wife by his side. He was born on June 13, 1932 in Greene Township, Pennsylvania to the late John Edward and Grace (Shatzley) Cook-Peters.
He was preceded in death by his son Randy C. Cook and grandson Joshua B. Cook.
Surviving Calvin is his loving wife of 66 years, Fanny I. Cook. He is also survived by his sons, Roy (Teresa) Cook and Terry (Claudia) Cook, daughter, Melinda (Martin) Acri and daughter-in-law Shelly Cook. In addition, Calvin is survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and numerous nieces/nephews.
Calvin worked as a programmer for the majority of his working life, retiring from the Naval Support Activity in Mechanicsburg PA.
Calvin had a tremendous love for the Lord and his family. He attended Christ Community Church, Camp Hill PA for many years and was recently attending Tree of Life Church, Carlisle PA. Calvin and Fanny enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets looking for “fine merchandise”. Calvin also enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 16, 2020, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Parklawns Funeral Home; 3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Funeral services will be at 11:00am. Due to the current Covid 19 mandates, services will be maintained to limit the building occupancy to 10 people at a time. Burial services will be open to the public at 12:00pm in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, the American Heart Association or to his church, Tree of Life, Carlisle PA.
