Mrs. Alice Marie (Nelson) Bianco

Born December 29, 1953 in Chicago, Alice was the daughter of Bethel (Helm) Akery and Perry Nelson. Alice was raised in Kentucky and would later relocate back to Chicago and eventually to the Casa Grande, Arizona area. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her dog Holly.

She is survived by her husband Edward; son Jimmy (Janelle) Godfrey; step daughters Brenda Bianco and Stacy Bianco; two beloved grandsons Brenden Godfrey and Nathan Godfrey; four brothers: Gary Nelson, Michael Nelson, Mickey Nelson and Tim Nelson; two sisters: Cheryl Nelson and Marie Gomillion; and a family full of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents; one brother Wayne Nelson, one sister Dinah Folker; and aunt Ida Nelson.

Visitation and a video tribute will be held Monday, August 24, 2020 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd, in Chandler, AZ from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Facemasks will be required for attendees and the funeral home will assist with adhering to current social gathering standards. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery.
