

Betty Lou Patterson, of Sedona Arizona, left this earth on April 28, 2022, She was born in Woodsfield, Ohio, on April 8, 1937. She graduated from Harding High School, where she was salutatorian of her class.
Betty Lou met the love of her life, Carson Patterson, in Marion, Ohio. After a brief courtship, they married on August 31, 1956. Their work with the church began in Ohio, then took them to Michigan and finally Arizona, where they resided for over 40 years.
Betty Lou was a homemaker as well as a minister’s wife. She was a vital partner in the ministry of the church. She had a passion for her family and for traveling. She loved her God, the beauty in flowers and sunsets, Hawaiian trips, laughing, playing games, talking photographs, puzzles, watching sports and listening to hymns. She enjoyed searching for the perfect seashell and getting the best shot of a sunset. But mostly, she simply enjoyed spending time with her family. She is gone too soon and will be greatly missed.
Betty Lou is survived by her husband, Carson Patterson; her children Teresa, Julia, Mark and Eric; her grandchildren, Rachelle, Danielle, Jaclyn and Chase; her great-grandchildren Liam, Vera, Moses, Selah, Isaac, Aliyah, Justice and Colette; and her siblings Neil Christy and Janet Pierce.
