To Carol's Family, We were saddened to learn of your Mother's passing. She was such a nice lady and fun to be around. Doyle grew up next door to Carol back on the farm in northwestern Ohio and remembers how 
Carol would share her comic books with him. After Doyle and I were married he introduced me to her and your Dad and then in later years we visited a couple times when we would be in the area. She was a wonderful friend and will always hold her in our memories. Doyle & Myrna Wines Bryan, OH

I am so sorry to hear of Carol's passing.  I have many wonderful memories of Carol (I especially remember her giggle!) and Al with my parents - and getting together with the three Clay boys!  It's hard to believe they are all gone, but thinking about the reunion they are having right now makes my heart happy.  God's blessings to you and your families -

Dear Clay Family, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Carol, Al, Hank, and Wilma had so much fun over the years together! On one such occasion, they all came to Kalamazoo to visit other friends, but too the time to visit our home.  Al and Hank took turns jumping off the diving board in silly jumps and dives...Such entertainers those boys were!!! You're Mom was a beautiful woman inside and out.  I'm so glad the Clays and the Konecny's are together once again.  What a celebration must be going on in Heaven!
Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and hope you are consoled by your many warm memories.

I knew and loved Carol my whole life.  She was always so beautiful and vibrant; she just brought a happy energy to our house with every visit. I have such wonderful childhood memories of our families visits and vacations.  Now Carol & AL and  Hank & Wilma are together again.  My sincerest condolences to Mike, Tim & Jay and their families.

Grandma, you will be dearly missed. Thank you for all the great memories you have left us with. I appreicate all you have done for the families. Enjoy your new life watching over all of us.

I remember many email conversations on our family tree with Carol.  She was always ready to lend a hand and answer all my many questions.  My heart goes out to her sons and grandchildren as well as her extended family and friends.  She will be missed but not forgotten

Sadden at Carol's death she was a lovely lady. We had such a good time with the Clay family when they lived in Kzoo. May she rest in peace.

I was shocked to hear the sad news about your mother, I know you will miss her very much and I will too. She was my favorite little cousin.  My sympathy to you all.

I'm sorry to hear of Carol's passing. We were "pen pals" in a common quest to learn about our Rowen roots, sharing everything we learned with a growing clan of distant relatives who never met but were united by a common bond stretching back through generations. On her entry to Heaven, I'm sure she was greeted by all who she had already met through our research!

Where you do start, Carol was not only a grandmother, mother-in-law but a good friend for over 45 years.  There were all the wine spritzers, fried chicken picnics,shopping expeditions(where she asked if you wanted to be stylish or comfortable).  There were the trips to Bryan to visit the Clays and the Dills.  There were stories of the bowling ball through the TV screen, shooting the chicken through the head with the arrow.  She loved all of her family, no matter what they did, and we will always love and remember her as she really was.

I can't express how sad I am to have lost grandma. I have so many wonderful memories of our times together. From having a lemonaide stand in the front yard in Kalamazoo to convincing her at 60 to drive a 4 wheeler through the Rocky Mountains (with a flat tire), I will forever cherish my fond memories of my greatest supporter.

I will miss Carol; we always laughed when we visited her. She became especially close to me after my mother died in 1997. She also came to PA and took care of me for a week when I had shoulder surgery.  I love you Carol.

What wonderful memories I have of Carol.  No matter the distance, we kept in close contact.  She was one of my dearest and oldest friends.  She and Al spent many times with Gene and I.  I loved having Carol as my bridge partner and traveled many miles together shoe shopping.  She was like a sister to me.
You are now at peace, dear friend.
