Donald Lee Eckstein

He was born on November 16, 1949 in Massillon, Ohio.

He is survived by his husband William Ernest Crawley of Chandler, Arizona; his sisters Collette Eckstein, Elaine McElhaney and brother-in-law Ronald McElhaney all of Massillon, Ohio, and his brother Richard Eckstein of North Canton, Ohio, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Donald Paul Eckstein, his mother, Helen Eckstein both of Massillon, Ohio, his brother Larry Eckstein and sister-in-law Helen Eckstein both of Massillon, Ohio, and his brother Kenny Eckstein and sister-in-law Sue Eckstein of Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Donald graduated from Central Catholic High School in Canton, Ohio in June 1967.

Donald worked for Intel Corporation at their Chandler Ocotillo Facility for twenty-three years before retiring in 2016.

In his spare time, Donald liked music and had an extensive record collection. He also liked to collect all kinds of things, but mostly enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels cars, NASCAR memorabilia, and had a sizable collection of plush bears in particular. Donald enjoyed the great outdoors and often went hiking in the desert during the winter months. He also enjoyed camping in the woods of Northern Arizona during the summer months. He had a fondness for traveling. He traveled to new cities and places around the United States where he had many great experiences. Later in life, Donald found a new interest by going on cruises to Alaska and Mexico where he enjoyed many great adventures.

A Funeral Service will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248, US, on June 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
