

Fernando “Fred” Arvizu, Jr., age 84, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025.
Fred was born on December 8, 1940, in Chandler, Arizona, to Fernando L. Arvizu and Adelina R. Arvizu. He was a proud graduate of Seton Catholic High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army. It was during this time that he met his beloved wife, Ingeborg A. Arvizu. The two were married on September 11, 1965, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chandler,AZ.
Fred spent much of his professional life in the printing industry. He began at Bashas’ and later fulfilled a dream by founding his own business, F&I Printing. Dedicated to his faith and community, Fred was a member of the Knights of Columbus and once held the position of Grand Knight.
Anyone who knew Fred knew how much he loved Arizona State University sports—especially Sun Devil football. He was a season ticket holder for many years and rarely missed a game. Watching ASU play brought him immense joy.
Fred had a gift for connecting with people and was always willing to lend a hand. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Ingeborg A. Arvizu, his brothers Robert Arvizu, Joseph Arvizu (Estefana), and Richard Arvizu (Ofelia); his sister Lydia Martinez (Rudy); and his sister-in-laws Linda Damon and Edith Binder. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and godchildren who loved him dearly.
Fred will be remembered for his love of family, his devotion to his faith, and the lasting impact he made on so many lives.
