Jim was born in Elkhart, Indiana where he grew up and graduated from high school. Jim enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was a Quartermaster in the Submarine service during the Korean war. Upon his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Jim attended college at Northern Arizona University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Jim enjoyed a very successful career after graduating college with Phoenix Cement Company and CTI Trucking where he earned many awards and recognitions. Jim retired to Sun Lakes, AZ and served for many years as a Deacon with the Presbyterian church. Jim, who adored and loved his family, is survived by his wife of 70 years Dale Miller, son's Bill (Marie), Jim (Mary), David (Becky), daughter Debbie, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 nieces.
We will have a private family gathering at the graveside and in lieu of flowers a donation to the American Diabetes Association is preferred.
