Our beloved father, Jardine Graham, 90, entered into rest on December 3, 2015. Jardine, was also known as Bud. He would have celebrated his 91st birthday on December 26, 2015. He was the son of the late Landis and Jimmie Lou (House) Graham. Two days after his 18th birthday, he received his draft notice to serve in the U.S. Army. By the middle of January, 1943, he was sent to Germany, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and on the beaches of Normandy. He loved sharing his war stories and all the things he had gone through made all of us so proud of him. He had the honor of shaking General Patton's hand too! When he returned home, he and his family moved to California, and that was where he met our mother Ruth. Our dad always had to work hard labor jobs. While in California he did masonry work until we moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1967. He then went into the carpet business until he retired in 1986. He is survived by a son Larry (Marie) Graham, two daughters, Vivian (George) Magruder, and Shirley Hunt and family. He had a loving and caring friend Jean Kliven for 22 years and her daughters, Robin and Noel. He had six brothers, Gary (Terri) Knox, Bill Knox, Wayne Graham, Johnny Graham, James Graham and Doug Graham and all their families. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.WoundedWarriorProject.org/donate). Graveside services, with military honors, will be 12:00 PM, December 17, 2015 at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ 85248.
