Joan Elaine Severance, was born January 18, 1936, in Santa Anna, Texas. After battling Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, she joined her husband of 48 years, Richard Paul Severance, and her daughter, Linda Humes, on December 13, 2014. She is survived by her daughters Karen (Ralph) Messner, Amy Indgjer, and Julie (Tim) Williams, her son Dan Severance, grandchildren Brandon, Joel, Crystal, Chad, Michelle, Scott, Joshua, Sarah, Dustin, Marissa, and Lucas, along with eight great-grandchildren. A celebration of Joan’s life will be held Monday, December 22, 2014, 11:00 am at Tempe Nazarene Church, 3929 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ 85225 with a luncheon reception following. A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ.
