Having recently celebrated her 90th birthday surrounded by family and friends, JoAnn knew she was loved. After growing up in Columbus, Georgia, JoAnn left the South to join the Navy where she met her Husband, Howard, and moved to New York to raise her family before retiring to Arizona.
JoAnn is survived by her “darling” daughters, Pamela Stevens and Dana Michaels; her “princesses” granddaughters, Samantha Stevens, Sabrina Shimo and Noelle Shimo; her sister, Margo Hinson; and her “super heroes” Sherman Hinson, Ralph Stevens, Aaron Schwarzkopf and Benjamin Benedict.
