She was born in South Gate, California on April 11, 1945. Kay graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1962.
She married the love of her life, Nelson Burow, on May 24, 1969. The two shared numerous adventures together. Some small, some grandiose. Most memorable, there was a bullfight in Mexico, small sandwiches at the Hollywood Bowl, and a trip to Japan where Kay couldn’t stomach raw fish and Nelson tumbled down a 1000-year-old staircase at some ancient temple.
Kay was survived by her two handsome and well-adjusted sons Matthew and Michael. She was also survived by her rambunctious, food-snatching, canine companion Rex. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Devan and Maya. Kay may have been an only child, but she was always surrounded by the love and compassion of her family, including her sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A celebration of the life of Kay Burow will be held after the services at 3980 E Hummingbird Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85050.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valleyofthesunfuneralhome.com for the Burow family.
