I miss you Mary Lou. I hope you are enjoying heaven. 

I remember our long talks around the kitchen table. Time would fly by as we let our conversations flow from one topic to another and after a few cups of coffee and lots of delicious homemade treats she would still ask if I wanted anything for the road.  I remember her hugs. I remember her laughter. I remember her quick wit and sailor's tongue. I remember Mary.  Always.

Dear Camille, Pat and Pam,                                   We are so sorry over the loss of Mary Lou.  I have so many memories with Mary Lou growing up -  sharing stories and having coffee with Auntie Jennie and Uncle Frank , visiting her in Wood Dale, our kids playing together, taking Michael with us to Italy...wonderful memories! There is a song entitled " I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe. I think of Mary Lou seeing Michael, Auntie Mary and Uncle Harrison, Grandma and Uncle Tony and I can only imagine her joy, happiness and awe surrounded by all of them and the presence of our Lord! Rest in peace, Mar. Love, Mary Ann and family

Such sad, sad news about Mary Lou. Honestly I was in shock.
I remember all of the Sundays we spent in Cousin Mary’s kitchen with your family, just sitting and talking. Getting to know Zia Annina a little. How I wish there were some videotapes of those conversations!

We always, always felt welcome at your house.

Auntie Mary Lou,

I’m so glad we got to spend your last years with you out here in AZ. But when I think back to my time in Illinois as a kid, your home always brings back fond memories. Your pool was the first one I swam in, your home always had lots of family and delicious food, and your basement with the pool table is where I would hang out and pretend I was older and cool like my cousins.  And who could forget the Blues Clues and the Princess Brittany cup? (Inside jokes between us) Thank you for teaching me how to use the spritz cookie gadget, and how to make the pasta with anchovies (which I won’t eat, but I’ll attempt to cook this Christmas for everyone in your absence; wish me luck). We’re all sad down here, but I know you ran straight for Michael when you got there and probably haven’t stopped hugging him since. Give him an extra hug from me... we miss you both and all of the other family so much. Love you, Auntie. Xoxo

My dear sister, there are so many memories among us four girls.  When one cried we all cried...when one laughed we all laughed...when one got punished we all got punished.  But you always got Mommy's shoe thrown at you because you were so feisty!  You were always very generous and giving.  Your memory is a treasure deep within my heart.    XOXOXO

Thank you for sharing your birthday with me for the last 53 years. Thank you for teaching me how to play gin rummy, how to not be afraid of diving in the pool, how to make killer pork chops, and the litany of other things you’ve helped me with, throughout my life.  I will miss you.
