Think about you so often, Pat. Know that you're with your mom and Mima. Remember when you came to visit us when you were young...actually it was around your B-day "cause I have a photo of you with your B-day cake. I had the pleasure of getting to know Pat for a brief time many years ago when he came to Jax to visit Kevin and Mark.  We had a blast and even formed some sort of exclusive club that now I can't even remember the name of. I can tell you from the short time that I did spend with him that he was a very compassionate soul with a pure and unselfish heart, those traits cannot be hidden. I know with all of my heart that he is in an awesome place now but I also know that it does not take away the pain of missing him. I just learned of Pat's passing, still somewhat in shock.  I met Pat when he came aboard working for Charles Schwab in the mid 90's.  I remember him as a kind, soft spoken gentleman, very patience (I was new the network world, he was teaching me how circuits, muxes and CSU/DSU works).  Sometimes, I'd stay after my shift and we'd chat for bit.  When I had bad days, he'd do his Donald Duck voice, it put a smile on my face.

Pat was always a gentleman.  I find it hard to believe that we are only 7 years apart.  I was his sponsor at confirmation.

We were so lucky to grow up in a neighborhood with great neighbors like the Mongeons. What a shock to hear about Pat.  I am certain I was the first one in the neighborhood to meet the Mongeons when they moved in and it was because of Patrick.  My mother suggested that I go and see if the new neighbors had any kids.  When I walked on the sidewalk in front of the Mongeon house, there was Pat in the big picture window motioning for me to go to the back door.  We played together for the rest of that day and for many years after.  He was one of my best childhood friends. We sure had fun, swimming, playing ball and  running around together.

We want to express our sincere sympathy to Patrick's family. I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Pat. Pat was such a warm, patient and loving person. I have such great memories of Pat riding down from Jacksonville on his motorcycle to visit my family in Clearwater. He let us kids sit on his motorcycle and we thought we were so cool! He was so very patient with us as we would ask him over and over to do the "donald duck voice". I'm thankful that I have those memories and many more of Pat. We will keep all of his family in our thoughts and prayers.

My earliest memory of my Uncle Pat was his infamous Donald Duck impersonation over the phone, along with a smile that would soon follow. 
I will remember my Uncle Pat’s intelligence. Any question I asked, he not only had the answer, but the definition, common use and a thorough understanding about everything! Uncle Pat loved to research products, cars or any big purchase you were going to make. 

Last year I experienced a compassionate side of my Uncle Pat, while he fought to save his puppy. He called me everyday with an update & questions; he was concerned and committed to doing everything possible for this puppy. While I knew the outcome was poor…Uncle Pat was not willing to stop fighting for this puppy to survive. Most would have stopped weeks ago with treatments, consultations and appointments. One of my favorite quotations is; We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals and if this is true, my Uncle Pat’s heart was insurmountable.

Last month, I invested in a really fantastic camera & prior to doing so, I researched every possible camera on the market (knowing that Uncle Pat would be so proud) I looked forward to talking to him on the phone, just to tell him how much research and time I had spent looking for the best camera.

I know there will always be a small part of  Uncle Pat with me often; in the way I thoroughly explain concepts to my clients, research my next big purchase or when I watch a Donald Duck Disney cartoon with my son. 

I pray that Eleanor, Therese and Kevin turn the wonderful memories into a source of comfort.

I'm so very sorry that I couldn't be there today, I wish I could have gone and I hope you all now how much I love you all and how great of a man Mr. Patrick was, you were almost like second parents to me a while back. Pat was a member of my team at Charles Schwab from 2001-2004.  Passion seems to best describe him in all aspects of his life.  Pat was instrumental in building my interest, and now my passion for cycling.  And, since I'm from Columbus, we always talked about "The GAME" with that team up north. My sister, Karen, and I talked and laughed about growing up with the Genesee St. Gang..the Mongeons, Blondins, Jakubowskis, Cunninghams...  There were the Wises, Crockets, Calecas and so many other families.  We were lucky to grow up in such a family friendly neighborhood.  I remember playing with Pat and racing with him to St. Lukes.  I remember getting in trouble in Kindergarten with Pat for laughing during prayers.  I'm sure it was Pat's fault!!

To all the Mongeon family, I am sorry for your great loss.  I pray that God will bless you with comfort and peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Pat.      I remember playing basketball one day on Genesee St. Pat must have been about 15yrs old, and Kevin and I about 8. He came and lifted me up so I could make a basket-it was so nice.

Pat and I loved to talk Overhauln'.  I owned a Mustang and we'd talk about how Chip Foose had just made over some early model fastback (picture Tim Allen doing the Oooo Oooo grunting).  I'm not much of a car guy, but Pat could recount every detail.

I sure enjoyed out talks over lunch or just hanging out in the kitchenette shootin the breeze.

To the whole family, my condolences.  Know that Pat will be missed terribly here at Schwab.  If you need anything, I'm available anytime.  Call the command center and someone will find me.

I interviewed Pat at Schwab for his position in the NOCC 10+ years ago.  I had never met anyone with that much knowledge of a T1.     :) 
Pat was dependable, thorough, and extremely helpful at work, but more than that he was a good friend to me.  
I shared with him that I wanted to buy a camera, and he introduced me to DPReview.com with a list of his own recommendations.  He did same for my home monitor when he found out I still had a Schwab Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 900U CRT.  He was horrified by that by the way.  I bought the monitor he recommended, and I love it.  

Pat and I enjoyed sharing landscape photos.  Often I would send him photos from my trips so that he could critique them.  I will miss that.

I'm stunned and saddened to hear of Pat's passing.  The past certainly rushed back as I looked Through all the pictures of family. Aunt El, I am so sorry for your loss.  I only met Pat on one ocassion at Aunt Rose's house, so truly didn't get to know who Uncle Pat was.  All I know is that he was a wonderful husband to you and great father to Therese and Kevin. I would give anything to be there with you and be able to help you in anyway I can, but that isn't going to happen either.  Just remember I LOVE YOU so much and would do anything for you. What an incredibly sad time for all of us who knew and loved Pat.  He was such a good man, husband and father.  I can honestly say that he left this world a better place.  He will always be with us in our hearts.  My condolences to El, Therese, Kevin and his siblings.  I will miss him.

As a young kid spending summers in Michigan, I remember my cousin Pat with long, curly hair; riding his bike a lot; and doing a great Donald Duck impersonation. When I was older, Pat would often visit our family while he was stationed in Jacksonville. He would tell me stories about his travels and experiences in the navy.
