
Richard was born in St. Louis Missouri the oldest of three children to the union of Phillip and Gladies Aaron, his younger sister Theresa and father Pastor Phillip Aaron preceded him in death.
Richard met and married Rayette McQuay his wife of 34 years and to their union was born three children:
LaTrisha Lomax (Lionell), Phillip R.M. Aaron, and LaTayia Aaron-Brooks (Christopher) and two Grandchildren Amaryaunah and Khari although he was affectionately known as Papa Richie to so many more.
Richard moved to Seattle Washington along with his father and mother at the age of two. He attended St.
Theresa Catholic School, John F. Kennedy Catholic School and graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle, WA.
Richard was a man of many talents, to name a few, He was a Deacon and Head Recording Technician at the Rose of Sharon Pentecostal Temple, positions appointed to him by the late Bishop AL. Hardy. He worked alongside his father at the Law office of Phillip Aaron for many years as a Paralegal. This was a job that he truly enjoyed because he loved being with his dad.
He was a contributing writer for the Madison Park Community Paper where his focus was on equal opportunity for ALL, he was also known for handing out the "Know your Rights" pamphlets to young men and women of the African American Community. He worked for Amazon in Kent, WA until his health began to fail.
Richard had many hobbies like watching sports on tv (Football being his favorite), he also enjoyed listening to all genre of music, his favorite artist being Jimmy Hendricks, big Mama Thornton, and Muddy Waters (who was also his godfather) to name a few. He also recorded a CD of his own entitled The Sky Church Experience, Richard was a man who loved to eat and manning the BBQ Grill was his specialty those ribs would melt in your mouth and those pan seared Pork Chops were a dinner time favorite.
Richie wasn't a man of many words but when he spoke it would behoove you to listen because he really had something to say. He was an undercover comedian loved cracking a joke (at the oddest times) to make those around him laugh. He loved his family and would do anything for them as well as his close friends. One thing he thought was very important was to take time to sit and talk with the youth about life and how important it was for them to be the very best they could be.
We will miss the stories he shared especially those that would make you laugh until you cried.
Richard leaves to cherish his memory his wife Rayette, two daughters LaTrisha and LaTayia, Mother Gladies, Brother PJ, Niece Rakayla, a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, extended family, and Friends.
Funeral services for Phillip Richard Aaron will be at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery on Friday
December 16, 2022, viewing at 12pm and service at 1pm.
Entombment will be at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery
