

He graduated from Kelly High School in Chicago in 1971. As a young man, Ralph regularly played softball with all of his neighborhood friends. Ralph met the love of his life, Kimberly Ann Hernacki and they were married on May 17, 1975 in Chicago. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Laura in 1977 and their son, Jason in 1980.
Ralph started working with his father at Santa Fe Trails trucking company as a dispatcher. He later enjoyed success working at Prudential Insurance as a sales agent. Ralph was an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and Elvis Presley. He loved league bowling with his wife, Kim. Together, they would take many trips and attend conferences all over the country. In 2002, Ralph and Kim moved to Chandler, Arizona where he continued his insurance occupation with Liberty Mutual until he retired in 2021. He also loved playing golf at every opportunity. Ralph welcomed 2 beautiful granddaughters and although they lived 1700 miles away, he never missed any important life events with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim; daughter, Laura (Brian); son, Jason (Christina); granddaughters, Ella and Keira; brother, Frank (Lynn); sister, Sheryl (James); sisters-in-law, Debby and Doris. Ralph was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Ralph's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at St. Rene Goupil Catholic Church: 6949 W 63rd Place, Chicago, Illinois 60638 (Corner of 63rd Place and New England Avenue). Following Ralph's Memorial Mass, a luncheon will occur from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mattone Restaurant: 9 E 31st Street, LaGrange, Illinois 60526.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ralph's memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. Although Ralph never formally served in the military, this was very important to him and was his favorite charity.
