Raymond Stanley Woods (93) went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 15, 2013. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on April 26, 1920. He was a World War II, Pearl Harbor survivor. He served on many ships: Milwaukee, USS Chicago, USS Fowler, USS Elizabeth C. Statton, and USS Alsea. Upon his discharge he worked for the telephone company in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He and his wife Francis (deceased) moved to El Paso, Texas where he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. They had two children, Karen and Stanley (deceased). Raymond married Genevieve Horn in 1979 (deceased). Upon Raymond's retirement from the railroad they moved to Chandler, AZ. He is survived by his daughter Karen Sybrandt (Jack), stepdaughters Sherron Artle (Bob), Barbara Hall, Linda Ludlow (Lew), several nieces and nephews, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A grave site service will be held at the Valley of the Sun Cemetery, Chandler, AZ., Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 8:30 AM.
