Richard George Wright

Richard was a graduate of Chandler High School, class of 1958, and went on to build a long career as a reprographics service technician. He was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Loyal Order of Moose.

Richard found great joy in woodworking, mechanics, golf, and the outdoors. He especially loved traveling, boating, fishing, and—above all—spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen Elaine Wright; his daughters, JoAndrea Peeler and Tiffany Lynn Shepherd-Hargrove (David & Kenny); and his son, Richard Brian Wright (Tammy). He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Tasha Antell (Jeremy), Ashley Peeler, Nathan & Reagan Shepherd, Nate and Gio Hargrove; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Tyler, & Bradley Skousen.

Richard is also survived by his brother, Donald Wright (Elaine). He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lois Wright, and his brother, Robert Wright.

The family extends special thanks to Jim and Connie Contes, John and Ellen Winn, and Mark and Sally Tripoli for their love and support.

Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral on March 30, 2026, at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery in Chandler, Arizona.

A mercy meal will be served following the interment at the home of Jim and Connie Contes, 1101 E. Warner Rd., Unit 143 Tempe, AZ 85284.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
