

Russell Gallaway was born June 24th 1933 in Glassport, Pennsylvania to Mr. and Mrs. William Gallaway, He was one of twenty four children. Russell grew up in Clairton a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, were He inducted into the United States Army during the Korean conflict. After returning home, Russell was employed by US Steel Corporation for 33 years until he retired. Later moving to Arizona He was employed by Pimaco / Alcoa in Chandler, Arizona, Retiring after ten years. He then worked at Walmart in East Mesa and Fry’s in Maricopa as a greeter were he enjoyed talking and sharing with people he was well loved. Russell met and married the dazzling beautiful Charlotte Campbell and moved to Lawton, Oklahoma where two handsome Sons where born. Russell loved God, life, family, bowling and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Russell dedicated his life to the Lord he was a committed servant and served at several churches over the years. Mount Olive Baptist Church in Clairton where he was a trustee under Pastor William Callaway, Free Holiness Church where he was a deacon with Bishop George and Pastor Thelma Mitchell, Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lawton Oklahoma where he was a deacon with Bishop Preston Butler, Rock City Church Pastors Isiah and Victoria Claytor where he served as a deacon and part of the prison ministry in Florence Arizona, and the First Baptist Church of Maricopa Arizona where he help distribute food boxes. Russell believe that anywhere he was, he was a servant and a witness to the living God. Russell only daughter Josulin Elaine McCoy proceed him in death, He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 33 years Charlotte Gallaway of Maricopa Arizona. Five sons who he admired. Russell Gallaway Jr. of Phoenix Arizona, Aaron Gallaway(Deborah ) of New York, David Gallaway(Monique) of Washington D.C, Antoine Gallaway(Aimee) of Gilbert Arizona, Jordan Gallaway of Maricopa Arizona, five brothers and one sister. 15 grandchildren and 3 great grand and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
