Scott Channing Lane

Scott Channing Lane, age 58, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Scott was a devoted family man and a respected professional in the insurance industry.

Scott earned his Bachelor's degree from Montclair State University in New Jersey. He dedicated 40 years of his career to State Farm Insurance, where he served as an Auto Claims Team Manager before retiring. Throughout his career, Scott was not only known for his strong work ethic and leadership, but also deeply valued as a friend, mentor, and trusted leader by his coworkers. His unwavering commitment to supporting and guiding those around him left a lasting impact on many.

Beyond his professional life, Scott was passionate about golf, fishing, and was an avid supporter of University of Michigan sports (Go Blue!), especially football and basketball. He cherished time spent with family and friends and will be remembered for his sincere smile, warmth, kindness, and loyal nature.

Scott is survived by his loving mother, Johanna Lane; his sons: Trevor Lane and Tanner Lane; and his brother, Lance Lane. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lane.

A Celebration of Life for Scott will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 E Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona 85248 on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the speaking portion and sharing of memories of Scott's Celebration to begin at 6:00 PM.
