It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy "Tim" Joseph Walsh, who departed this life on July 24, 2025. Born on December 12, 1947. A veteran, who served his Country during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969.
Tim made an impression with anyone he was around, and his quick wit and nicknames for people left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Tim was the life of the party, a man who was always loyal to his friends. He delighted in spending time at his favorite bars with friends and family and was an avid fan of game shows, especially The Price Is Right (Barker Era).
Tim had an impressive taste in music, favoring tunes such as Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" and George Ezra's "Budapest" (aka “Aveeveedoe!”). In his downtime, you could find Tim deeply engrossed in a game of Texas Hold 'em or video poker. He was a proud supporter of his sports teams, the Raiders and the Packers, the latter being a particular favorite of his daughter-in-law.
Among Tim's proud accomplishments was his City Championship in bowling, and his early professional sales win with Evergreen Aviation. His favorite pastimes were cars, including the most recent Corvette era of the last twenty years. Since retiring, he enjoyed playing golf, he relished being a 'Couch Potato' at home and heading to his favorite bars with family and friends. Black was his color of choice, fitting for a man who was as cool as they come.
The legacy Tim leaves behind is one of happiness, with a dash of humor. He was genuinely happy to see those he cared for and wasn't shy about expressing it. All the grandkids had a special time during their high school years that they'll remember fondly for the rest of their lives.
Tim was predeceased by his ex-wife, Donna, his wife, Sharon, his brother Pat, and sister Peggy. His memory will continue to live on through his surviving family: sons Jason and Ryan, daughter-in-law April, ex-wife Catherine, brother Joe, sisters Kathleen, Erin, and Shannon, granddaughters Brittney, Ally, and Mira, and step-granddaughters Chloe, Lindsey and Maggie. He will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
We remember Tim as a man who was always happy to see you and truly meant it. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, Tim/Dad/GT. You were loved by all and your spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held for Tim at Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Chandler, Arizona on August 16, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
There will be a Celebration of Life held for Tim in Portland, Oregon at a later date.
