Chandler - On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, Vernon Wayne Erickson, loving father of three, grandfather of 5, and great-grandfather of 13 passed away at the age of 89. Vernon was born August 19, 1931 in Oconto, WI. He attended Oconto High School, graduating in 1949. Upon graduation he joined the United States Air Force. After basic training he was stationed in Honolulu for three years where he played basketball for the Air Force at Hickman Air Force Base. He married Barbara Sucharda on June 4, 1957. They had one son and two daughters. Together they moved to Arizona in 1967. Vernon loved sports especially the Green Bay Packers. He was preceded by his son Gene Erickson. He is survived by his wife Barbara of 65 years, daughters Bobbi Bader and Mary Lambert, 5 grandchildren; Tom, Karen, Christina, Monica and Hanna, 13 great-grandchildren (with the 14th on the way). You will always hold the sweetest memory in all our hearts.
