

William E. (Bill) Farnham, 89, passed away on May 28, 2016 at his home in Sun Lakes, AZ. He was born February 9, 1927 in Forestville, NY to Theodore and Ethelyn (Kuhrt) Farnham. The third of seven children, Bill graduated from Forestville High School in 1944. He was married to Jenny (Bradigan) Farnham from 1948 until she passed away in 1979. He worked as a grape farmer, a school bus driver, a field technician for the New York Artificial Breeders Cooperative, and a Prudential Insurance agent. After retiring and moving to Arizona, he worked as a greenskeeper in Sun Lakes. Bill was a longtime trustee of the Methodist Church in Dunkirk, NY, a board member and President of the Tri-County Country Club in Forestville, NY, and a beloved member of the Epiphany Lutheran Church in Chandler, AZ. He enjoyed attending Ironmen monthly breakfasts and volunteering for Neighbors Who Care to visit with homebound neighbors. He was an avid golfer and loved playing pinochle with family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years, Judy, his sons Gene (Lucy) Kunzman of San Marino, CA, Greg Farnham of Chandler, AZ, Mark (Andrea) Farnham of Lebanon, NH, and Tom (Ellie) Taylor of Chandler, AZ, ten grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and his siblings Sylvia (Norm) Grapes, Beth (Frank) Barron, and Jim (Karen) Farnham. He was predeceased by a son, Glen Kunzman, and a grandson, Jeffrey Kunzman. A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Bill will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 16 at 10 A.M. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 800 W. Ray Road, Chandler, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Epiphany Lutheran Church Building Fund, 800 W Ray Rd, Chandler, AZ 85225.
