Jerry L. Shealy

Jerry was a 1958 graduate of Chapin High School where he was a member of the Chapin Baseball team. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was very active in his church congregation.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Sara Ellen Ellisor Shealy.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Shealy O’Cain (Van) of Chapin, SC; grandchildren, Chance and Miles O’Cain; sisters, Athalee Rauch of Chapin, SC and Earline Suydam of Columbia, SC; brothers, Eugene Shealy (Ann) of Chapin, SC and William Shealy (Lorine) of Chattanooga, TN as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Jerry Lindler Shealy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 14, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Church located at 1028 St. John’s Road, Irmo, SC 29063. The family will receive friends and family at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel at 123 Columbia Avenue Chapin, SC 29036 on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The family would like to thank Dr. Carroll Pinner and the staff of Lutheran Hospice.
