Nancy Flora Lewis, dear wife, mom and “Mema”, joined her Lord and Savior and beloved husband, Bobby Dan Lewis on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 7:35 p.m. Born June 25, 1938 in Davenport, Iowa, she was the daughter of LTC William John O’Brien and Jayne Smith O’Brien. Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Chapin United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the committal service in the church cemetery. Services may be viewed via livestream on Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel’s Facebook page.
In 1998, she retired from her position as a research analyst for the US Marshal Service.
Nancy had a strong faith that trusted in the saving blood of Jesus. She was always quick to laugh, listen and befriend. She loved traveling the US in her Motor Coach with her buddy, Bob and cat, Kikki. She was the first person to join a card game and the last to leave. She loved to be supplied with her daughter’s homemade chocolate chip cookies.
She is survived by her son, Jeffry Lewis; daughter, Carla (Mark) Watson; three grandchildren, Kyle (Marissa) Watson, Kelli (Sean) Stewart and Brittany (Shawn) Bierman and four great grandchildren, Emsley and Lacey Watson, Finn and Mabel Bierman. Also remaining behind are her three sisters and a brother: Joan “Sister Helen” O’Brien, Trish Wallen, Sharon O’Brien and John “Pat” (Wava) O’Brien.
Memorials to Nancy can be made to the Chapin United Methodist Church Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
